At the Clusters Meet Regions conference, held on 9–11 October in Chisinau, approximately 200 representatives from 11 European countries and beyond met to discuss current challenges and opportunities in the circular economy. Organized by DG Grow in collaboration with the European Platform for Cluster Cooperation, UNDP Moldova and the Romanian cluster association CLUSTERO, the event focused primarily on promoting the circular economy in the context of sustainable development.

The key topic was the sharing of examples of good practice, among which the Plan C project, focused on cooperation in the Danube region, stood out. The program section “Sustainable development and green clusters”, which took place on October 11, attracted experts from all over Europe, including prof. Vladimír Sedlařík from TUB, to discuss the application of the principles of circularity in the plastics industry. This dialogue opened the way to new innovations and approaches that support sustainable and recyclable materials – an area also addressed by the PolyEnvi21 project.
