Sub-projects of PolyEnvi21 Presented at the Consortium Meeting in Přerov
The National Centre of Competence for Polymeric Materials and Technologies for the 21st Century (PolyEnvi21) continues to make successful progress in its activities. On May 22–23, 2025, a joint meeting of project partners took place in Přerov, where the current partial outcomes of individual projects were presented.
The introductory presentation and moderation were conducted by the project’s principal investigator and Director of the Centre of Polymer Systems, Prof. Ing. Vladimír Sedlařík, Ph.D., who presented the progress made in fulfilling the Strategic Research Agenda. This was followed by presentations outlining the objectives, methods, and anticipated future outcomes of the individual sub-projects. A central theme that ran through the presentations and subsequent discussions was the cleaning and recycling of plastics.
The second day of the meeting was dedicated to dissemination activities, which are a key part of commercializing the project outcomes. At the conclusion, three newly supported projects were introduced, focusing on the identification of thermoplastic recyclability, comprehensive material and energy processing of batteries, and the effective removal of microplastics from the environment.
Further progress and results of the individual sub-projects will be presented at the autumn consortium meeting in Zlín.
