Three Projects Supported in the Fifth Internal Call
The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic has approved three new sub-projects.
The first project is titled “System for Identifying the Recyclability of Thermoplastics.” The goal of the project is to examine changes in the structure of used polymers or blends in order to define the qualitative state of a plastic product or component in terms of material definitions for further use already at the recycling entry point. The main project coordinator is Plastikářský klastr, z.s.
The second project, titled “Comprehensive Technology for the Material and Energy Processing of Batteries,” focuses on the sustainable processing of batteries and accumulators to maximize the reuse of individual materials they are made of, thereby supporting sustainability and circularity. The main coordinator is Nanoprogress, z.s.
The third and final sub-project is titled “Effective Removal of Microplastics from the Environment and Their Further Use.” As the name suggests, its aim is to develop technologies for capturing microplastics and to quantify the effectiveness of these technologies, with added value such as LCA analyses and the reprocessing of separated microplastics into new products. The main coordinator is ASIO TECH, spol. s r.o.
