Innovative Materials for Ensuring Optimal Operation of Biological Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants

Project Objective:
The project aims to design and develop innovative polyurethane-based carriers (preferably from recycled materials) and test them on a laboratory and operational scale. The goal is to characterize these materials, optimize their production, and calculate their return on investment for widespread practical application, particularly in the context of EU Directive 2024/3019. An LCA analysis will be conducted to verify the health safety of the materials used.
