Partial project
DP 016
Recycling of waste polymers from car batteries using mechanical and chemical recycling (REPOBAT)
Project implementation period: 1. 10. 2023 – 31. 12. 2025
Principal investigator: Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem, Faculty of Environment
Project objective: to design and verify technologies for recycling plastic parts of used car batteries
Planned outcomes:
Fuzit – Solvolytic-thermal process for better conversion of plastics separated from car batteries into liquid product and higher purity of the obtained polymer (12/2025)
Gfunk – Product produced by mechanical recycling of plastics separated from car batteries (12/2025)
Ztech – Chemical recycling (solvolysis+pyrolysis) of waste plastics separated from car batteries (12/2025)
O – Research report summarizing knowledge on heteroatom content of waste polymers, solvolysis and pyrolysis products and their detection (4/2024)
O – Research report summarizing findings on the separation of valuable chemicals from liquid plastic conversion products separated from car batteries (12/2025)
